The Sunshine and Telephone Communications Committee provides assistance and/or food as needed for members with an illness or problem. They also remember birthdays with a card, and offer condolences and/or congratulations as necessary. Club members are responsible for keeping the Sunshine Committee aware of needs as they occur.

Upon the death of a club member or a member of her family, this committee purchases a book in memory of the deceased individual, and presents it to the Brentwood Library in accordance with the club's Standing Rules

In Memory of Linda Shultz ~ May 29, 2009

A beautiful cherry tree has been planted on the southern side of the Brentwood Library near the outside reading room. This tree was chosen by the family of Linda Shultz as one of her favorite trees. It will be a quiet place to sit and read a book or just reflect on Linda's gifts and her contribution as a long standing member of the Brentwood Woman's Club.

Lois Bondesen and Olivia Bergh arranged the dedication for the tree. The Conservation Department handled the arrangements to have the tree planted.. Linda's husband Ed and her daughter were present at this event along with many BWC members who were there to remember Linda and support her family.

 

The full club membership works as needed for this committee.
